What we collect

When you contact us, join our waitlist, rent a unit or use our website, we may collect:

• Your name and contact details, such as email address, phone number and social media account
• What you want to store, the unit size you need and when you need it
• How you heard about us (for example, Google, a flyer, a partner or a referral code)
• When you rent a unit: a copy of your ID (such as KTP, KITAS or passport), your address, and, for businesses, company details
• When you pay: payment details, processed by our payment provider
• Basic website usage data, such as pages visited, device type and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics tools

ID documents and payment details

We ask for ID to confirm who you are before you rent a unit. We only use it for your rental, our security and our legal obligations.

Payments are handled by licensed payment providers. Card details go directly to them. We do not store your full card number.

We treat ID and payment data with extra care and limit access to the staff who need it.

Why we use it

We use your data to:

• Reply to you when you contact us
• Send you STOW news and offers, unless you opt out
• Prepare and manage your rental, and take payment
• Keep our facility and customers secure
• Understand which channels bring us customers
• Keep our website working and secure
• Meet our legal and record-keeping obligations

How we contact you

If you contact us, we will reply through the channel you used (for example, email, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or phone) and may follow up about your enquiry.

We send you STOW news and offers unless you opt out. You can untick the box when you sign up, or opt out at any time later by telling us (for example, by replying STOP or emailing hello@stowbali.com) or by using the unsubscribe link.

Our legal basis

We process your data based on:

• Your consent
• Steps you ask us to take before entering into a storage agreement, and performing that agreement
• Our legal obligations
• Our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving our business

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data.

We share your data only with service providers who help us run STOW, such as website hosting, email, messaging and social media platforms, customer management and storage management systems, payment processors, and analytics tools. They only get what they need to do their job.

We may also share data if the law requires it.

Data stored outside Indonesia

Some of our service providers store data on servers outside Indonesia. When that happens, we use providers that apply data protection standards equal to or higher than Indonesian law.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, including keeping in touch with you about our services and meeting our legal and record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

You can ask us to:

• Show you the data we hold about you
• Correct it
• Delete it
• Stop sending you updates (withdraw your consent)
