Self storage in Bali: a simple guide

As of October 2026, STOW Self Storage in Kesiman Kertalangu, Denpasar, opens in December 2026. Here is what self storage is, who it is for, and how it works at STOW.

What is self storage?

Self storage is a private, lockable unit you rent by the month. You use your own lock, you hold the only key, and you come and go during opening hours. It is new to Bali. Until now, most people have used a spare room, a friend's garage or a corner of a warehouse.

Who uses it

  • Villa owners between rentals: furniture, linen and personal items kept safe while guests stay.
  • People moving, renovating or travelling for a few months.
  • Small businesses: stock, equipment, documents and seasonal gear.

How it works

Reserve your unit online. Bring your goods on your move-in day and put on your own lock. Come back whenever you need to, 06:00 to 21:00, every day. Pay monthly by bank transfer, QRIS or cash. The minimum rental is one month, then it runs month to month. To end it, give us 7 days' notice before the end of a paid month.

Is it secure?

Yes. The facility has 24/7 CCTV and gated access. You use your own lock and hold the only key. Every unit has built-in ventilation.

What you cannot store

Fuel, gas, chemicals and anything flammable; loose or spare batteries; weapons; illegal goods; food, plants and animals; and cash or valuables unless we agree in writing. Vehicles, including motorbikes, are not accepted at the moment. The full list is in Section 5 of our Terms and Conditions.
